Description The apartment is situated within easy reach of some of the most impressive scenery in the Peak District. There are beautiful walks to suit varying abilities over moorland with imposing crags and edges, or peaceful streams to wander along. Situated in the heart of the beautiful Peak District in Litton Mill, Millers Dale, Derbyshire, our self-catering apartment is the perfect location to get away for a week, or short break at any time of the year. Sleeping 6+ guests there are 2 double en-suite bedrooms, one with loft beds for two children plus a double sofa bed, this extremely spacious, recently converted first floor apartment with riverside location and views, offers high quality and very generous accommodation in the picturesque Millers Dale, at the heart of the Peak District National Park. Situated on the Monsal Trail, Millers Dale has spectacular views of the twin viaducts that once carried powerful steam locomotives from London to Manchester as part of the Midlands Line, and now forms an 8.5 mile walking / cycling trail that meanders along the banks of the River Wye. The apartment occupies a corner position on the first floor within the mill enjoying views over the river that meanders by its side before spilling into Monsal Dale downstream. Access to the apartment is from the main entrance lobby using the stairs or lift to the first floor. Careful consideration has been given to coordinating the décor, with high quality furnishings being carefully coordinated in a contemporary style throughout. The hall leads to the very spacious open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area. The kitchen, is fully equipped and opens to the dining and lounge area with five large picture windows giving the room a light airy feel. The lounge has a large cream leather corner unit to seat six in comfort in front of the gas fired wood stove. Off the hall are the two bedrooms both of a very good size, the main bedroom has a kingsize sleigh bed and its own en suite bathroom, with bath, shower, hand basin and toilet. The second bedroom also has a kingsize bed with loft beds for two children over and a similar en suite bathroom. Please note the loft beds have vertical ladder access and we do not recommend use by children under six years of age, use is at the users discretion. There is also a general cloakroom with hand basin and toilet. A private shared riverside terrace and garden sitting out area to the rear of the property is available for guests.
