Description
Lavender Cottage is a self-catering cottage in the beautiful Peak District village of Tideswell.

You'll find just what you'd expect from a popular Peak District cottage. The cottage was built in the 1830's and extended in 1960's. It's been recently renovated including replastering, redocoration, rewiring, new central heating, windows, bathroom and kitchen. However we have tried to retain its original charm and character whilst making it a comfortable and cosy cottage.

We have fitted the cottage out with new soft furnishings and carpets and installed a locally-made solid oak kitchen complete with hob/oven, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. There are also several pieces of antique and oak furniture. In the living room there's a wood burning stove, flat-screen TV, video and a DVD player. There's a good selection of local books in the cottage along with local maps.

The dining room seats at least four and in the washhouse, there's a freezer, washing machine and a tumble drier. A cot and a high-chair is also available.

Outside, there is a pleasant rear garden which is perfect to relax in after a hard day enjoying yourself.

The bedrooms
Lavender Cottage has two bedrooms; one with a double antique brass bedstead and the other with two singles that can be zipped together if required. The bathroom has a walk-in power shower and a bath.

We provide all linen and towels with the exception of cot linen. The cottage fronts the street and there is ample parking outside.
