Situated in the south-central part of the Peak District National Park, Hurdlow makes a good base from which to explore Bakewell, Ashbourne, Buxton or Leek. Alternatively you can climb, walk or simply take in some of the unspoilt scenery that surrounds this lovely little hamlet. The village is close to Flagg where the popular steeplechase is held annually and home to the strangely named Bull i' th' Thorn (Bull in the Thorm) a medieval pub that was once an important coaching inn. Whatever your interests you are sure to find what you are looking for if you rent one of the area’s self catering holiday cottages
