There are excellent walks from the door of the Cow Shed including Monk's Dale, Chee Dale and Wye Dale nature reserves - all within one mile. The Pennine Bridle Way runs through the village offering unrivalled cycling and horse riding opportunities and attractions including Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, Lyme Park and Castleton are all within easy striking distance. The area is full of historic, unspoiled pubs with excellent food. The Cowshed is available for long weekends or weekly rentals.
