Description The Old Post Office Barn is run by Sheila and Barry who live in The Old Post Office itself next door.  Both keen climbers and walkers,  they are happy to help and advise with walks and activities in the surrounding area.   The Old Post Office Barn is a cosy, detached cottage, restored from the 18th century stone barn belonging to the neighbouring Old Post Office. The barn has stunning views of the Staffordshire countryside, with Hencloud ( meaning Old Hill) on the skyline behind.  The ground floor has the living/dining room/fully equipped kitchen and on the first floor there is one large double bedroom and a bathroom with shower cubicle and toilet.  Heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are included and there is also a digital television, DVD and CD player. Outside is a small patio seating area, and on-road parking.  This is a non smoking property.   We have made every effort to ensure that the Old Post Office Barn is environmentally friendly as we fully support keeping our beautiful countryside exactly that way! The Old Post Office Barn is  located in Upper Hulme, in the Peak District National Park, between Buxton and Leek.  Only a mile behind the Barn stands the superb Roaches gritstone outcrop,  popular with climbers and walkers alike.  The local pub, Ye Olde Rock Inn, great for meals, bar snacks and real ales is only a few yards down the lane from the Barn.  Upper Hulme is a quiet hamlet, close to Tittesworth Reservoir, with its walks, fishing and a visitor centre,  and only 20 minutes drive from Blackbrook RSPB reserve.
