The Old Farmhouse at Woodside Farm:….Set in the Derbyshire Dales on the edge of the Peak District National Park, Nr Matlock. Woodside Farm is now run as a smallholding that stands in five acres with free-range chickens and sheep grazing in the surrounding fields. It occupies a super rural position with fantastic views over the Derwent Valley and surrounding countryside, bordered by woods with Beeley Moor close by. We are ideally situated for exploring the Peak District and local attractions, with Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Bakewell and of course Matlock close by.
Adjoining our farmhouse at Woodside, The Old Farmhouse is an 18th century stone cottage has exposed beams and is full of character. Furnished and well equipped providing a cosy base for exploring this beautiful area from where you can enjoy some wonderful country walks from the doorstep. Facilities in the cottage include: a lounge with comfortable suite, T.V., DVD and video. A beamed kitchen / diner with fitted units, table and chairs, electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer and tumble dryer. Upstairs are two bedrooms, which can sleep 4-5 people with a washroom and W.C and downstairs is another washroom with shower and W.C. A cot and high chair can be provided at no extra cost. Linen and towels are included. Outside are a small walled patio to the front and a lawned garden to the side with furniture and barbecue and children’s play area. Pets are welcome by arrangement. Smoking is not permitted. Water is from our own natural spring.
We usually meet our guests on arrival and assist them with settling into The Old Farmhouse. We look forward to welcoming you to The Peak District and hope you enjoy your time here as much as we enjoy living here and will return again.
